This was to be his last Rotary Conference. My father had wanted so much to attend the conference because he had expected to meet his friends from the District 3310 before the split. Names he often mention were PDGs Mr Philbert Chin, his wife and Dr John Cheah and his charming Ann Doreen. My late mum used to mention her name so often.
He was the only Rotarian in a wheel chair. Although we tried to talk him out of going for the conference but he insisted. I am glad to be able to accompany him then and made his wish about meeting friends come true
